FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


LAWN

Bringing your own picnic on the lawn has become a summer tradition for many Music by the Lake fans. Picnic gear, refreshments and food are allowed on the lawn. Guests may bring only what they can carry, such as small-sized coolers and small tables, no larger than three feet. Large coolers and buffet tables are not allowed. Nothing can be staked into the ground. Please be aware that patrons must be able to load their picnic items on and off shuttle buses.

Those who are 21 years or older can also bring their favorite alcoholic beverage to enjoy while on the lawn. The music is broadcast to the lawn but the pavilion stage is not within view from all areas of the lawn.

Patrons with terrace or pavilion tickets are able to picnic prior to the start of the show in designated lawn areas. Please see a volunteer for more information.


WEATHER

Music by the Lake is an outdoor venue and as such concerts are held rain or shine. All sales are final and no refunds will be made in the case of inclement weather. Please watch the weather reports and plan ahead.

SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS

George Williams College of Aurora University is a smoke-free campus.


CAMERAS AND RECORDING

Cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the pavilion while artists are on stage. Patrons can feel free to take photos prior to the performances on campus.


RESERVED SEATING

All seats in the Ferro Pavilion (which include dress circle, orchestra and rear orchestra seating) are reserved and underneath cover. Outdoor terrace seating includes physical seats, but is general admission and not under cover. Lawn admission is general.


LATE SEATING

If you arrive after the performance begins, a volunteer will seat you at the first appropriate pause in the program to avoid disturbing other audience members.

LENGTH OF CONCERTS/INTERMISSIONS

Most concerts are 90 minutes without an intermission. If a performance does include an intermission, an announcement will be made from the stage. Intermissions are usually 10 to 15 minutes in length. The shuttle buses will run one hour past concert end time to return concertgoers to their vehicles.

ARTIST MERCHANDISE

At some shows artist merchandise may be sold, such as posters, CDs or apparel. Please look for a table adjacent to the pavilion to purchase these items.

LOST AND FOUND

Lost and found items may be turned in to the Ticket Booth located south of the Ferro Pavilion on the night of the concert. Guests may also call the Ticket Office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 262-245-8501. Music by the Lake is not responsible for any lost items.

DRESS CODE

Music by the Lake is a casual environment. Please dress comfortably for an outdoor summer afternoon or evening. No bathing suits or bare feet please.

EMERGENCY INFORMATION

In case of emergency, please remain in your seats; an announcement will be made from the stage directing you to the appropriate location.


RESTROOMS

Restroom facilities are located in the Weidensall Administration Building, near the upper lakefront cottages and adjacent to the College Inn. 

ALCOHOL POLICY

It is the policy of George Williams College of Aurora University that those consuming alcohol on campus will adhere to all state and local laws. Alcohol can be consumed only in designated areas by guests 21 years or older. Kegs are not allowed at any performance. We encourage our patrons to have a great time, but disruptive behavior could be cause for removal from campus.
