GENEVA LAKE TOURISM


Make Music by the Lake your summer destination. Only a short drive from many metropolitan areas in Wisconsin and Illinois, Music by the Lake has become a summer tradition for many fans. Whether you come for the night or the weekend, you'll find numerous things to do in the beautiful Geneva Lake area that adds to your concert experience.

BOAT TOURS

For a great activity during the day, take one of the many boat tours offered by Lake Geneva Cruise Line and Gage Marine, complete with historical commentary on the numerous estates and mansions lining the shores of Geneva Lake.

WALKING TOURS

The Geneva Lake Shore Path is the ultimate walking tour, a 21-mile trail that provides hikers or runners with unprecedented views of some of the most beautiful landscapes and homes in the area. Organized walking excursions with personal tour guides are available or go on a leisurely stroll at your own pace. Walk as little or as much as you want. Maps and guides of the shore path include separate guided walks ranging from one to six miles. These publications can be found at the Campus Shop located in the Weidensall Administration Building.

SEE THE STARS

The Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay offers free 45-minute public tours every Saturday throughout the year beginning at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and noon. Visitors can enter into the 90-foot dome and view the famed 40-inch Refractor, the world's biggest lens-type telescope.

SHOPPING

Throughout the downtown areas of numerous Geneva Lake towns, you will find quaint shops selling everything from home décor to clothing to water sport equipment.

OTHER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

The Geneva Lake area offers many sporting activities throughout the county. Popular activities include bike rentals, fishing, boat and kayak rentals, horseback riding and ziplining.
