Performing one of the most recognizable patriotic songs in America, Grammy winner and multi-platinum entertainer Lee Greenwood makes his debut at Music by the Lake in a special program of country songs and original compositions that will set off fireworks in The Ferro Pavilion. His concert also will be recorded for his first live CD! From humble beginnings on a farm near Sacramento, California, Greenwood used his natural talent and achieved worldwide recognition in a career spanning three decades. After returning to the road in 2001 and playing to packed houses around the country, the singer-songwriter quickly found himself back at the top of the sales charts. His original song, “God Bless the USA,” written in the back of his tour bus, has been in the Top 5 of the country singles charts three times (1991, 2001 and 2003). This wonderful anthem will celebrate its 30th anniversary this summer. It’s a pleasure to host American Patriot Lee Greenwood as he pays tribute to this great land and to the legacy of those who have kept it great. This performance is generously underwritten by Bertil E. and Ulla E. Brunk. |
